This illustration is the study of the beetle Goliathus regius. It is a species that lives mostly in the African jungles. An adult goliat beetle measures 6 to 12 cms in length, they are so large that when they fly they produce a sound similar to that of a helicopter.
I love to make this type of illustration because you know incredible things about nature and we can make people know a little more about these animals and admire their beauty.
